Future Birthplace of James Kirk

In IOWA there is a place called the Future birthplace of James T. Kirk.

James T. Kirk, captain of the Starship Enterprise, is believed to have been born in Riverside, Iowa on March 22, 2228 or 2233. This information was made official in the Star Trek reboot movie in 2009. Steve Miller, a councilman in Riverside, suggested that the town declare itself as Kirk's birthplace and the motion was passed unanimously. The town changed its slogan and annual festival to reference Star Trek, and a monument was placed on the spot believed to be Kirk's birthplace. The monument was later moved to a location near city hall. The March 22 birthday for Kirk is also the real birthday of actor William Shatner, who played Kirk in the Star Trek series.
